Our body is often trying to tell us things but we spend so much time in our cognitive thoughts that we miss messages, and stifle the things we probably need to be paying more attention to. That's why embodied work is so important in the work of growth and healing. Meditation, somatic work, play, dance, movement, breath work, yoga, tai chi - these are all ways to help us get into our body.
